
Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease 12 muffin cups or line with paper baking cups. Combine cereal, milk, and molasses in a medium bowl. Let stand 2 minutes or until cereal is soft. Add oil and egg to the cereal mixture and beat well. Set aside. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon and mix well. Stir in the raisins or cranberries. Add softened cereal mixture and stir just until dry ingredients are moistened. Do not over mix. Divide batter among the muffin cups. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from pan and cool slightly.
